Crafty+ Discontinued: What to Buy Instead (and What Still Fits)

Yes, the Storz & Bickel Crafty+ has been discontinued: retailers report that production and regular distribution ended on 1 September 2026, as a lineup streamlining and not a recall. If you want the same small, simple idea, the Veazy is the natural replacement. If you want longer sessions, look at the Mighty+, and if you want the fastest and most adjustable portable, look at the Venty. A Crafty+ that you already own keeps working, and many glass capsules, screens and other small parts carry across to its successors.

This guide explains what the discontinuation means, how the Crafty+ compares with its successors, and which accessories still fit. For the news background, read our Crafty+ and Plenty explainer. More device guides are in the Storz & Bickel hub.

1. What Was Discontinued

Retailers covering the change, including Verdampftnochmal, report that Storz & Bickel permanently ended production and regular distribution of the Crafty+ and the Plenty on 1 September 2026. They describe a lineup decision after more than a decade, and say there is no defect, safety warning or recall behind it. Stock still on shelves is being sold through, and no new production batches are expected. Planet of the Vapes, which also covered the news, notes that the Crafty+ and Plenty remain fully supported and that warranty cover continues for units bought during the phase-out. Our own Crafty+ listing is still live at the time of writing, but treat it as limited, not permanent.

2. If You Own a Crafty+

Nothing needs to change. The Crafty+ is a one-button device with three presets (180 °C, 195 °C and 210 °C), a ceramic-coated filling chamber and USB-C charging, and it can also be controlled through the Storz & Bickel Web App. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty questions. If the battery fades, Storz & Bickel's service centre handles replacement, and you should check availability with them now that production has ended. See our battery and charging guide for care tips. Consumable parts, such as screens, seals and glass, are not tied to the device's production run, and we continue to list them in the Mighty and Crafty accessories collection.

3. What to Buy Instead

The closest match: Veazy

Storz & Bickel's own comparison describes the Veazy as the lightest device in its lineup, with a modern design in four colors and a faster heat-up from a new convection-conduction mini-heater, and notes that draw resistance and vapor quality are similar to the Crafty+. Our product page lists a heat-up of about 40 seconds, a 2,400 mAh battery with USB-C supercharging to 80% in about 40 minutes, one-button presets (Base, Booster and Superbooster) and a fixed airflow of 10 liters per minute. It weighs 134 g, essentially the same as the Crafty+ at about 135 g. It is the pick if you liked how small and uncomplicated the Crafty+ was.

For longer sessions: Mighty+

The Mighty+ is bigger and heavier (about 242 g) and heats in about a minute, but it has two built-in batteries totaling 3,300 mAh, a temperature range of 40 °C to 210 °C and the option of running from the wall with a supercharger. If you found the Crafty+ a touch small for how you use it, this is the step up.

For speed and control: Venty

The Venty heats in about 20 seconds and has an adjustable airflow dial and Web App control. It is the most capable of the three. Our Mighty+ vs Venty comparison sets the two larger devices side by side.

5. What Still Fits

If you have been collecting Crafty accessories, a move to the Mighty+ or Venty does not mean starting over. Several of our parts are listed across devices:

  • Glass capsules and chamber reducers. The no-lid glass capsules and glass chamber reducers on our site are listed for the Venty, Crafty and Mighty.
  • Screens. The normal and coarse screen sets are listed for the Crafty, Mighty and Venty.
  • Mighty and Crafty parts. The short glass mouthpieces and water bubblers sold "for the Mighty and Crafty" suit both, and Storz & Bickel says most Mighty and Mighty+ parts are interchangeable.
  • Venty-only parts. The Venty has its own mouthpieces and bubblers, so check the product name before you order.

We have not listed parts specific to the Veazy yet, so if you choose it, check the product page for what we say about compatibility before buying accessories. Browse the Mighty and Crafty accessories and Venty accessories collections for the current range.

6. Should You Still Buy a Crafty+?

It can still make sense. The Crafty+ is compact and uncomplicated, with one button, three presets and a ceramic-coated chamber. If you already own Crafty accessories, or you simply like its shape, buying one of the remaining units is reasonable. Just weigh three points first:

  • Stock is finite. Once it sells through, retailers do not expect it back, so a spare will be hard to find later.
  • Service planning. Warranty cover continues for units bought during the phase-out, according to retailers, but check what Storz & Bickel says about repairs and battery service before you rely on it years ahead.
  • Newer options exist. The Veazy is faster to heat and similar in size, and the Mighty+ and Venty are more capable.

7. Quick Answers

Was the Crafty+ recalled? No. Retailers describe it as a lineup streamlining, with no safety issue.

Will my accessories stop working? No. Glass, screens and seals are not tied to a production run, so your existing parts keep fitting your existing device.

Is the Veazy a Crafty+ with a new name? No. Storz & Bickel says the Crafty+ uses its time-tested heating block and a different form factor, while the Veazy has a new mini-heater and a lighter, modern design. They are similar in draw resistance and vapor quality.

8. Which One for You?

  • Want the Crafty+ experience in a current model: the Veazy.
  • Want longer sessions and a bigger battery: the Mighty+.
  • Want speed, airflow control and an app: the Venty.
  • Still want a Crafty+: it remains a good device, but buy it knowing stock is finite.

Final Thoughts

The Crafty+ leaving the lineup is a change in what Storz & Bickel sells, not a reason to worry about the one in your pocket. For a new purchase, the Veazy carries the small, simple idea forward, the Mighty+ is the dependable step up, and the Venty is the high-performance option. Whichever you choose, many glass capsules and screens carry across. Start with the Mighty and Crafty accessories or the Venty accessories collection.
