XL capacity
The deep-fill chamber holds roughly double a standard stem.
Open airflow
High airflow makes the most of the Solo 3's quick heating.
Add a screen
Push a domed screen into the chamber end. It keeps fine material out of the open grate.
Fill the XL chamber
Load the deep-fill chamber. It takes roughly double a standard stem.
Insert into your device
Push the chamber end into your Solo or Air, with the bend facing you.
Clean and swap
Soak in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with warm water and dry fully. Use the spare in the meantime.

This should really be a 4.8 but that option doesn't exist. This stem is exactly what I wanted. The volume capacity is sufficient and the thick glass walls help ensure longevity. So far, I'm very pleased with these tubes. I had purchased the same tubes from a different company...they were twice the price and they didn't have the XL capacity. They were returned. These are pretty nice and seem to work well. The only reason for the .2 deduction isn't really fair on them but I'm not certain how difficult it will be to remove the screen.

The fit is bad. It's so loose in my Solo 3 v2 it's not even funny. They advertise thick glass but it doesn't help the fix. It only makes the spacers they also sell not fit inside. I won't be using them.

Angled or straight: what's the difference?
An angled stem gives a more relaxed wrist angle and can't roll off a table. A straight stem is easier to pocket. Both have the same 110mm length here. See straight vs angled XL stems.
It's sold out. What's the closest alternative?
The Aero Angled has the same 110mm angled, high-airflow glass with a standard chamber. For the XL chamber in a straight stem, try the Aero XL Long.
Will an XL stem work in my Solo 3?
Yes. XL means the chamber is deeper, not that the stem is wider. The Aero XL Angled is made for the Solo 3 and Solo 3 V2.0 and the rest of the Solo and Air series. Our XL stems guide explains more.
How much does the XL chamber hold?
The XL deep-fill chamber holds roughly double a standard stem, so you can go longer between refills.
Do I need screens?
We recommend them. The high-airflow grate is open, so a domed screen stops fine material from getting into the stem.
Does the Aero XL Angled work with the Arizer Solo 2 and Air 2?
